Around this time last week, we had just brought her home from the hospital. I hate it that you couldn't stay longer, but I'm happy you could be here at all. Now my only worry is that you'll reach your final destination safe and sound. This horrible blizzard is honestly rather terrifying...

I did a nighttime routine with her for the first time - she's handling it pretty well, and so am I. Only one dirty diaper, right after a midnight feeding, and then we swaddled up and went back to sleep. I feel accomplished that I was able to do it all on my own. She even stopped crying halfway through the diaper change in her own.

You stopped at your hotel a while ago - you said you'd text me so that Marley could sleep. But the text never came. I can only assume that you crashed pretty hard after you checked in, and got good rest. I worry that you don't get enough sleep; I want you to always to be at your best, to do your best. So, being able to think you're asleep just now relaxes me.

I miss you already. Usually I can hold back the tears once you've disappeared, but it's hard now to think of you being so far away from Marley and I... She will miss you in these coming weeks, I think, and I know I will. Finish the house hunt quickly, so we can move in soon and be a family again. I want that more than anything...
